Ive used ProGold ProLink and while it worked, it didn't last. I tried other lubes with the same results. I then found Dumonde Tech almost a year ago and have been happy with it. Chain stays clean and you don't have to apply it as often. Though, the chain does get a bunch of black gunk on it for the first 1 or 2 rides after applying, but you just wipe it off (as you should wipe your chain after every ride anyway). After that, nice and clean.

I used T-9 for a while and it worked just fine, but it's expensive. I have used Finish Line Dry Lube for the last year or so and it has worked great. Bought a mega-size container of it that should last for years. Do NOT use the Finish Line Wet Lube unless you plan to ride through a monsoon or you enjoy your chain attracting several times its own weight in dirt on each ride.

I thought even the Finish Line Dry lube put a wet coating on my chain, gunking things up.

i think you're supposed to let it dry for an hour or so before riding, and I wipe the heck out of the chain. There's no reason for any lube to be on the outside of the chain in my opinion.

Not sure if using "stuck" is appropriate in this context.... :P

+1 for Squirt Lube. I have had longer chain life since I started using it.

All of the above modern lubes will work great. That said I have had good luck with Rock and Roll Extreme for pretty much everything I have thrown at it.

Bel Ray Super Clean. The same lube I use on my motorcycles. It's waterproof, it doesn't fling off, and it does not attract dirt. It's magic, I am pretty sure it's made out of Unicorn spit.

I just had epiphany! I have been using T9 for so long it never even crossed my mind to try BR Super Clean on
my MTB bikes. BR Super Clean is by far the best motorcycle lube out there it's all i will use on my moto bikes.
You also get a heck of alot more for the money.

Any lube, just frequently with a wipe down before and after application. I use whatever is cheap and everything works fine.
Fixed Gear: Soul Cycles 2010 Icon 650b'r, Gary Fisher 1991 ProCaliber 26'r...and a 2012 Pugsley.
Everything I ride makes sense.
