I know nothing about skiing so I don't have anything to say about ski trails, but I have been wondering about the impact of fat bikes during the spring thaw. My assumption, right or wrong still to be determined, is that fat bikes will make an appearance on the trails before skinny ones, particularly this spring when there's been so little snow over the winter for them to play on. It'll be interesting to see what trace is left behind by fat bikes during that time. Are they a viable option when skinny tires are leaving pizza cutters or if skinny tires should stay off the trails should fat bikes too?

From personal experience I can say that they definitely have less of an impact than normal-tired MTBs, but they still can have an impact if the trail is particularly soft. So, I think that riders will have to take due care still, but fat bikers might be able to get out a little earlier.

Are pizza cuts more impacted by a fat biker on a skinny-tired mountain bike, or, a skinny mountain biker on a fat-tired mountain bike?

Somebody call the Great Lakes IMBA Rep and get the straight skinny on this. Enquiring minds want to know.

Ever watched a comedian who has been around for awhile, and thought to yourself "Wow, is he still using the same old material?"

Yeah, this is something like that.

As opposed to what. an aggressive, forcefully trespassing organization?

If you have a better plan, perhaps you should lay it out. Perhaps you have a secret source of funding in order to purchase all of this land (in the name of IMBA/MMBA) you wish to ride on.

If a man poaches a trail and nobody sees him (and he leaves no trace), did he really poach?

You could call Andy and ask him yourself, except that there's a big whited out area over your home on the Great Lakes Region map. Guess you're on your own then...

OMG! You mean I'm part of a small outlier group and IMBA has yet to "fill our void"? Somebody get me a line to Boulder!

Boulder calling to the faraway towns
Now war is declared and battle come down
Boulder calling to the underworld
Come out of the cupboard, you boys and girls
Boulder calling, now don't look to us
Phony BigHeadToddmania has bitten the dust
Boulder calling, see we ain't got no swing
'Cept for the ring of that truncheon thing

The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in
Spring thaw expected, the snow is growin' thin
Pedals stop turning, but I have no fear
'Cause Boulder is drowning, and I, I live by the river

Boulder calling to the imitation zone
Forget it, brother, you can go it alone
Boulder calling to the zombies of death
Quit holding out and draw another breath
Boulder calling and I don't want to shout
But when we were talking I saw you nodding out
Boulder calling, see we ain't got no high
Except for that one with the yellowy eye

The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in
Spring thaw expected, the snow is growin' thin
An equestrian era, but I have no fear
'Cause Boulder is drowning, and I, I live by the river

The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in
Pedals stop turn'in, the snow is growin' thin
An equestrian era, but I have no fear
Boulder is drowning, and I, I live by the river

Now get this

Boulder calling, yes, I was there, too
An' you know what they said? Well, some of it was true!
Boulder calling at the top of the dial
And after all this, won't you give me a smile?

I never felt so much a' like a'like a'like
