For at least the next week I will be using Buno Road to bypass the connector until the mud bogs dry up more.

I rode the connector on Monday 26th and there was no standing water, and although it was a bit soft in those spots, I don't think I sunk in all that much, ( no mud on my treads) I'd say its good to ride already.

There is a tree down 100 yards East of Hill Road that will require a hand saw or chain saw to remove. There is standing water at the usual wet spot closer to Old Plank. One of my co-workers is active in Scouting and has reached out to their Eagle Scout Project Coordinator regarding the possibility of another wood bridge in this area. Bill I will contact you regarding this if we get a response. (I met you at Milford Challenge I was the guy with the IMBA Bike Patrol Jersey).

I believe that one is still there. difficult to ride or walk through
Another one down west of Old Plank and 50 yds south of the horse trail - 6 -8 inch diameter quick work.
Generally, the trail is becoming overgrown in classic July form. .. Thorns are there / no blood last ride

I'd like to ride this connector to Proud Lake. Where is the best place to park to access the connector? Can you clearly describe how the connector intersects with Proud Lake? Having trouble making out the Proud Lake maps. Thanks.

You could park at Dairy Queen on Milford Road... or ride in from Kensington Metro Park on the paved paths...

The connector is directly across the street from Dairy Queen. Ride through the stop light east on East Huron River Parkway, looking to your left you'll see both the Mountain Bike trail and the Horse trail.

Riding east on the connector you'll cross South Hill Road and the trail will later turn south, cross the horse trail, and eventually dead end at Old Plank Rd. Cross the road - keep going about 1/4 mile and the trail T-'s into Proud Lake Loop 4. These loops are directional - Loop 4 bikes go counter-clock-wise so you have to turn right at the T. Get your climbing legs on at this point!

PM me your email address and I will send you a map-set I made a few years ago to help people learn how to navigate Proud Lake and recognize its land-marks, with time and discovery you won't feel so lost out there.

All the trails in Proud lake are a part of the Bike layer in google maps.

The green line is bike trail, some of it is not "green" but all of the trail is marked on google maps.

Also, a printed map is found here. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_-YeT-KS4SOanJqaWlURFdldms/edit?usp=sharing
