For the most part it drys out pretty quick.....except when it floods, then the "flood plain" will be wet. I just
got back from a ride, couple slick spots is all. With this wind we are having it will be dry by tomorrow.

I love this trail. Every time I ride CRPT it puts the biggest smile on my face. I decided a time trial was necessary and my fastest time was from M-53 to Edison @ 16:24.
Trail was in great shape tonight.

Now you need TT it from Trail head (Edison) to M-53 and check your time.

My first attempt was from Edison to M53 @ 17:11. I either pushed harder going the other way or maybe the trail flows better heading towards the trail head. :?:
I will try it again when I can find the time to head out there after work. There is practically no trail traffic @ 8pm-9pm.

I don't know. I removed my computer when I upgraded my fork last year and put it away so well that I can't remember where it is. lol

I'm going to head out there around 8pm for another go.

TT #2
From trail head to M53 with 4 head-on passing riders and 1 jogger @ 16:04. Return trip from M53 to trail head uninterrupted @ 15:53. I believe from the trail head to the big skinny flows the best that direction and from M53 to the big skinny flows best.

3 small mud pies along M53 but other than that the trail was in good shape tonight.

Do your times include riding all the features? I know that when you are doing your TT you
are considerate of other trail users right.

Through the generosity of a local resident and an area business, Aaron and I were able to start our
trail head beautification project. Ron who lives in the area told me we could have all the boulders on
his property if we wanted them 20+ he!! ya we do :D ! The only problem was getting them to the trail
head, the DPW would not go onto his property for legal reasons. This is where Jim Ratza from Utica
Rent All comes in. Jim was kind enough to donate one of his Bobcat skid steer for the day and deliver
it for us. These run $425 pr. day delivered. The boulders Ron donated would have cost us $1000.00
easy. Our hats off and many thanks to these two gentlemen for their support and generosity :icon_thumleft: .
We started bright and early Monday morning. Aaron doing the grunt work and me in the Bobcat  , it's
not my fault he doesn't know how to operate a skid steer. Phase 1 is done, on to phase 2 park benches
we plan on having these in within a week or two. Then phase 3 is plants and shrubs. here are a few pictures.

You can see by the smile on my face im having no fun at all. Nothing brings out the kid in ya like operating
heavy machinery.

Here is the finished boulder landscaping.

The laborer for the day. I worked him like a Georgia mule for 5 hrs. Thanks Aaron, couldn't have done it
with out ya. Notice the boulders in the back ground. It's not a feature, but im pretty sure you can ride a MTB
over it. Im just guessing.

Here are the boulders lining the side of the trail, that are not a feature  .

I rode each of the features during the TT. Is there any other way to ride? The only reason why I decided to do a TT was to see how long it would take because I have a difficult time getting home from work before the sun goes down. I can reassure everybody that I am completely considerate to every person and critter on and off the trail. I always give the other rider/pedestrian the right away. I can understand the concern considering most competitive TT's are all-out and potentially destructive to the trail. The TT's are not intended to be a regular thing.

FYI the paved path under Van Dyke is now open thats the good news. The bad news is the
improvements that were discussed did not happen. ie; a raised or enclosed deck and no lights.
So when the river crests over the banks, the path will not be rideable and at night it will
be dark so the *beep* can hang out under the bridge.

Was out there tonight. Trail is in great shape, no wet spots.

There is a tree leaning across the trail in the section with the crane. It is near the end of the trail in that section if you are going towards the M-59 bridge. Going to need a chainsaw. Right now it requires a dismount to get over it. Also, there is a vine wrapped around it. Not sure if poisonous. Looked like poison ivy though.

Was going to comment on the down tree but I see it was mentioned. Only had my phone in my pack for a timer so my time isn't super accurate. From M53 to the TH, being considerate of other trail users (only two other riders) I was faster then 14min but slower then 13min on a single speed. Didn't push the paved path hard at all as many people were using it. The trail to me flows better this way, and I didn't get a chance to ride fast the other way. The new look at the TH looks great, and I am always happy and thankful for the work that goes into this trail.
