If I did I would give it to ya. I don't have anything that would help for your knee I don't think.

Rode out there last Thursday night and only saw one other rider. We talked a bit in the parking lot, it was his first time there.
Tons of all different animals hopping, running and flying all over the place. Picked up some discarded water bottles, plastic bags.

I am thinking about doing another trail tour this coming Thursday evening (6-28). First one about 4:45 and the second about 6:15.
Just meet in the parking lot and we'll go from there. I am trying to get some riders from work to come out as well.

Come on out, meet some new people (and some regulars) and have a good time (weather permitting of course)

SC :D
I love mountain biking because I haven't found anything that is more FUN !!
Of all the paths you choose in life....make sure some of them are DIRT !!

Commuting miles in 2012 = 1065
Total road/trail miles = 2800
Number of rides = 152
Trails ridden = 28 different in MI, 2 in Oregon

Just wanted to give opjames and jay22 a big thank you for showing me around the trail Friday evening, it really did help getting to know the trail better. Looking forward to more rides in the future.

Another great pano shot Mike ! I love those, it's more like what your eye sees when you are standing there.

The weather forcast for Thursday looks to be really HOT right now, but I will still be out there to ride if anyone
is planning on coming out.

Thanks! I have been snapping them with my phone on any trail I hit this year.
Android phone > Pano. App > Pixlr o matic for post processing
I never stitch more than 3 shots total as they become far to wide and almost start looking like those 360 pictures..

I don't think I will make the Thursday ride, that's just far to hot for me

Thursday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 94. West wind between 8 and 13 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph *beep*

The "root ripper" has struck again. This time moved the big log just after the Dragontail on the South (Whitetail) loop. They moved it to the side and I managed to get it to lay down just like it was before. I talked with Rich about securing it with metal stakes. Hopefully they don't do more damage before we get it fixed.

Unfortunately, many of the log piles are requiring daily repairs due to folks dragging their brakes while riding over them. The dirt (clay) that Rich reinforced the log piles with is crumbling because of it being so dry out there. He's been repairing the log crossings and piles as needed.

Other than the roots disappearing and the log piles requiring a constant watch, the trail is rock hard and fast. Rich and I have been keeping up on the trimming, so everything should be awesome for the group ride on Thursday.

Btw Gary, I blocked that "bandit trail" that we talked about on the East loop behind the factories. I threw a few logs and a bunch of branches in there at both entrances. It doesn't get used much or maintained, but I noticed a bunch of skid marks at the entrance as if someone was checking it out.

Sounds like there's a fair amount of projects to do. How about a trail day?

Unless SANTA_CRUZ has a special project that needs done, almost everything else is finished. Trail is clear of overgrowth and ready for tomorrows group ride.

Dry,Dry,Dry! Rode a couple laps around a little before noon...went as far as I could stand with the knee pain. Very dry and dusty. Whats up with the dirt piles in front of the logs? Whats next...black top? :)
