The trail still has snow on it - in some places 4-6" deep on the north side slopes. Not quite ready to ride yet. If we don't get dumped on tonight, we're hoping we can ride it in a week or so.

Mid Trail received another 8"-10" this week (3/23) Seems like about that much consolidated snow still on the trails as of 3/27.

I tried this trail for the first time this weekend. What an OUTSTANDING trail! Hats off to those who put this together. It has the perfect mix of tight twisties, fast straight stuff, hills, flats, roots, rocks, and hard packed surfaces. Note "sand" is not on the list, which is a huge plus. I've ridden mostly on trails in west Michigan. I'll be hitting this one again next time I'm in the area!

It is a great new trail.

Directions: Take US127 to Exit 168 Mansidding Rd. (North of Clare). East on Mansidding for 1/4 mile, then left (North) on S. Clare Avenue 3/4 mile to the main Mid-Mich CC campus parking lot. Please use the paved parking spaces closest to Clare Avenue. Trailhead is located 100 feet to the north of the front parking lot.

The map to the trail on the MMBA trail guide is wrong. The above directions are correct.

Trying to get up there this weekend.
How is this trail looking?
Mosquito infested like all the others?

Trail is in excellent condition. MMCC had their Sweat Shaker XC there a few weeks ago and the trail was top notch. We ride this trail often (weekly) and have seen few bugs and mosquitoes.

Rode there yesterday, trail was great. It was my 4th time on the trail, I am really liking it. It looks as if there are some new berms in strategic locales. We stopped a couple of times, the bugs weren't bad at all.

I did lose my computer in the first mile or so when I did a classic city boy move, pointing out a deer ("DEER!") to my buddy and hooked the bars on a tree. I didn't notice until much later the computer was gone. Anyway, good job with this trail, it is a lot of fun.

Today's trail day has resulted in an additional 1.25 miles of single track that is cut, clipped, mowed, raked and ready to be ridden. We now have a total of 11.4 miles of singletrack at MMCC!

The new section starts between the 1st and 2nd power line climbs (about 100 yards past the 9 mile marker) and rolls through some really fast and fun rollers. If you get a chance, come out and help ride this new section in before the snow flies!

Zippy - you guys are doing awesome work on that trail. A hidden gem in Mid-Michigan for sure. Can't wait to ride the new stuff, and hope the weather holds out for a couple more weeks. Nice iceman result for you to, BTW.
