Allegan State Game Area trail work day

Postby RickPlite » September 16th, 2009, 12:44 pm

Join us for a trail work day on Oct 4th as we reroute around an area with a very high water table that appeared this year. Approximately 1/2 mile of trail needs to be cleared and some sections bench cut. Meet at the headquarters which is located at the corner of 118th ave and 46th st. at 9:00 am. We will work until approximately 1:00 pm Tools and lunch provided. Plans are in the works to add singletrack trail in 2010!

I thought that the woods were off limits during hunting season? For example, Cannonsburg SGA is closed to mountain bikers becaues it is a game area. Are the Allegan woods any different?

I personally want to thank Greg. He drove all the way over here from Pickney to lend assistance. We got the re-route around the pond raked. It was a good turnout with 9, if I counted right, people there to help.

I am super excited about this!!!!!
