Chad, you lost me on that statement. Dan stated "Deda tubeset", not "custom Deda tubeset". I already knew that anyway, I asked Scott years ago when I saw one of his first carbon road bikes built just like that. I own a "custom" sized ti-29r from Scott, he's pretty good at explaining what aspect of his builds are custom, most of which is sizing and various fine details outside of whatever stock tubing or other parts (BB shell, etc) may be. Not every frame builder offers custom sizing without charging a lot extra.

Pretty much every bike out there starts with some type of stock something or other then cut, bent, and welded to there design needs. I figure that was common knowledge in this day and age. So what is your point here. Or was it just to try and start something or bad month someone business?

He is saying Ti & Carbon come in already cut to length. Then the "custom" shop welds or glues the bike together. It's not "custom" to you if it's a predetermined/predefined kit. Many "Custom" shops to not have the capability to work over Ti & Carbon.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that Scott Quiring actually custom draws the ti tubesets or actually lays up the carbon fiber himself.

I thought Scott mined his own titanium in the back yard and arranged carbon atoms with tweezers and a microscope... :?:

The latest and greatest. . .

This is a Stainless Steel roadie. It is AWESOME!!!! I didn't get to snap pics of it before it rolled out of shop, but I do have this one shot of this beauty:

Image

Man, that is sweet!!!!! Stainless steel is awesome! This particular frame is Columbus XCR tubing hooked up to an Edge Composites 2.0 fork. How do we keep rolling? On American Classic Carbon 58 clincher rims (Our shop favourites!) hooked up to some Continental Grand Prix Attack and Force tires. This mofo is FAST!!!

When you are ready for your Quiring, whether it is a custom Stainless Steelie roadie like this, a custom steel cyclocross bike, or a custom titanium mountain bike, come to Cycle to Fitness to get sized up for your dream ride! Buy American, buy "Made in Michigan," buy from the custom bike specialists at Cycle to Fitness!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention, buy a new bike in the month of July and get 1 year NO INTEREST financing on all purchases over $600! The time has never been better to get your new Quiring!

CX season is right around the corner, and we've got some RIDICULOUS CX bikes in the pipeline. This first one is just the tip of the iceberg. If you want a CX bike, now is the time to order it to ensure that you'll have it by October. If you want the baddest bikes out there, get a Quiring, if you want to get it from the best bike shop, get it from Cycle to Fitness! Here's the latest Q bike to roll out of the shop:

Image
Daddy's a tall glass of water! Right now it has some slicks on it, but this bike has plenty of clearance for the knobbies!

Image
It seems that SRAM Rival is evolving as the standard of awesomeness in the CX world. It's proven to be durable, lightweight, and looks great too!

Image
The FSA Sl-K brakeset is uber-powerful, easy to set up, and looks bad to the bone! FSA has been churning out some great products the past few years, and is only gettin' better!

Image
Image
Image
You know we love American Classic wheels at Cycle to Fitness! This particular ride is hooked up with the American Classic Hurricanes, which are AC's CX specific wheelset. They have a wider rim than their other road wheelsets, 32 hole hubs front and rear, and also feature high flange hubs in the front and rear for added stiffness. At just a hair under 1600 grams, they're lightweight too!

Ok, this bike is a Quiring. You know what that means, right? That means it is a custom fit bike that rides amazing, and has the best fit and finish out there. Here are some gratuitous weld shots to show the true beauty of this bike:

Wow. Those welds are AMAZING. This bike is amazing. And you too can own an amazing bike if you get your own Quiring from Cycle to Fitness!

Image

Stop by the shop and talk Q with us! Scott Quiring has been churning out oodles of amazing bikes with Cycle to Fitness all year, and we've got some more crazy bikes in the pipeline. Road, mountain, CX, tandem, whatever, you name it, Scotty Q will make you the ride of your dreams, and Cycle to Fitness will built it up for you! Feel free to call the shop at 734-266-8203 to talk Quiring, or stop by to check them out. We've made a commitment to Scott to always have a few Quirings on our floor for you to check out. When you are ready to get your dream bike, come to Cycle to Fitness to get rolling!

Image

Image
Image
The Jumpstop/Bashguard combo has proven to be our most reliable "One By" drivetrain set up.
Image

Check out the left lever. It is only a brake lever, NOT a shifter. Pretty smooth, huh?
Image
Image

You can take that jumpstop/bashguard set up and stick it where the sun don't shine. :P Sooner or later that system fails. I have rode this whole summer without issue, can't say that about the above setup that I used last year. You right doe, sweet ride. 8) 8)

then again, it isn't bombing down the Boyne XC decents now is it.

'Tis the season. . .for CYCLOCROSS!!! And check out this awesome custom titanium Quiring CX bike that recently rolled out of Cycle to Fitness:

Image
Image
AWESOME!!!! It has the ability to run a full set of gears, but this ride is currently set up as a 1x10 with a SRAM Force group.
Image

Image
Love those SRAM hoods and matching bar tape in red! Also, check out the custom wheelset which is Velocity Deep V's laced up to American Classic hubs with DT Supercomp spokes. Did someone say "BOMBPROOF!"? Yeah, I did!
Image
Image

Image
Image
For you CX traditionalists, Tektro is still cranking out the TRP line of cross brakes to slow you down.

Image
SRAM Force BB30 crankset set up as a single with a Salsa Crossguard bashguard and Salsa chainring. Still rockin' the N-Gear Jumpstop, because it works so gosh-darn well for pretty much everybody, except PB  Also, check out the bottom bracket welds. A Quiring is more than a bike, it is a thing of beauty!
Image

Image
These are the new Eggbeater 3's from Crank Bros., also in stock right now at Cycle to Fitness. For 2011, CB says that they've beefed up the bearings in the new Eggbeater 3's as well as the spings and wings for a more durable pedal. To back that up, the new "3" series pedals will carry a 5 year warranty. BOO-YA!!!

Image
This bike also rolls on Panaracer CrossBlaster's. At 280 grams (Even occassionally a few grams LESS), these are the lightest CX tires on the market. We've also got them set up tubeless on these wheels with the new NoTubes CX conversion kit, and they sealed up with no problems. They are also a 700x31 tire so they fall under the new UCI regulations if that's your thing.

You have got to love Quiring's finishing work on his frames. Awesome paint combined with custom etching for a world class product.

When you're ready to get your custom fit dream bike, come to Cycle to Fitness to get your custom Quiring. We've built gobs of custom rides this year, and have plenty of experience sizing riders, choosing options, and getting your bike dialed in for you. Being a custom bike, it can be hard to get a "feel" for the bike before you order it up, and at Cycle to Fitness, we will make sure you get the bike that fits your needs. We always try to have 4 or 5 Quirings built up on the floor for you to see, feel, touch, and take for a spin.

When you're ready to pull the trigger on a new Q, remember that it takes about 10-12 weeks to get your frame built up, so plan ahead this winter for the spring. Also, if you're going to the Iceman this year, be sure to stop by and say "Hi" to Scott Quiring at his booth at the Iceman expo. I know he'll have something a little crazy up there, as well as some new little bits too, so stop by and check him out.

If you have any questions about this bike, or any custom Quirings, feel free to give Cycle to Fitness a call at 734-266-8203 to talk Quiring.
