The Fort Custer Stampede is just a few weeks away and this year's course will feature some great new additions to the trail system. Remember, this race is a Southwest Michigan Mountain Bike Association benefit event and proceeds help build and maintain trails in southwest Michigan. There will be 1 FREE beer compliments of Arcadia Brewing for each racer.. Wait, FREE BEER? Do you need any more motivation than that to get you to sign up?!

Be sure to pre-register in order to be eligible for the prize drawings.

Info on the Stampede can be found HERE

Registration info can be found HERE

I have been riding the roads of Amish country in preparation of this race!

When the race route is complete it should be right around 9 miles or so.

Do you have a map of the race course or a description of which loops will be included? Also where is starting line? Have done TT at FC before but never the Stampede.

Also looking for a race course map or quick directions( blue to red??). I'm not very familiar with the trail so any directions would be great. Looking forward to it

I'm sorry, but I'm not in position to reveal too much right now. The course map is still not available, but I would expect it to be available very soon. I can tell you to expect riding Blue and Red for the most part with some surprise additions/subtractions, including the new bridge. I rode a lap tonight and came in just under 10 miles. The start/finish will be at the same location as last year, so if you take a look at last year's course you can get a pretty good idea of what to expect for the most part. You can find that here.

Regarding the trail conditions: I can tell you there is a trail day scheduled for tomorrow Sunday, and we plan on addressing the race course. Ugh :x We know the new race section leading to the bridge was damaged by a wondering horse off the horse trail, and we aren't too happy about it. Unfortunately until it's properly marked we will have to deal with these things occurring.

I will post info on the race course here as soon as I get the go ahead.

Nope, you've said enough.

Will there be pint glasses for sale at the race?

Any idea how many miles the Kid's Race is? My two kids both want to ride it. I just want an idea to get them prepped.

Should be some extras available. Find one of the race staff and we can try and track them down for you.

This is all I can tell you about the kid's race. The race course is short (1/4 mile to 1/2 mile) singletrack with multiple laps for the older kids. The older kids can also ride the full course with supervision.
