Bloomer XC course question

Postby BTLS » June 16th, 2012, 1:05 pm

Does anyone know if the Bloomer XC course uses much of the trail network that cuts across the hills (off camber)? I found a post with a map but it was hard to tell.

I have a mental problem riding those sections fast, afraid I am going to make a small mistake and launch off the trail to the downhill side. I think it is harder to grow a pair or HTFU after you pass 40!

I am ok with the climbs and normal descents there, just not a fan of the off camber trails cut into the hillside. No offense to the people who busted their a$$ to create them, just not my style.

Any comments are appreciated!

I believe you are talking about what are called the upper and lower ridge trails. The last 2 Tailwind races I've done at Bloomer used the lower ridge trail. Keep riding those sections. The more you do it the easier it becomes.
