I know that we finished flagging it in September and the TC was waiting for final sign off on the route from the park. I'll post up more info when I hear back from him.

I will cautiously give an update. The previous information in this thread was not completly accurate. The original poster in this thread made it sound as if we were waiting on Hartwick pines to approve, not true. The flagging was incomplete and Hartwick Pines was waiting on the local mountain bike community to fulfill our end in completing the flagging before giving approval to build. As of 10 November, the flagging is complete and submitted to the park and state for approval to build. Once that approval is granted, then building can commence. I am optimistic (but it is dependent upon beauracracy) that we can begin building phase 1 in the spring.

I have full faith in the person that took this project over since it was left as an incomplete loop and handed off to two people who were not passionate about the project. The new trail coordinator is very capable, has lots of trail building experience and is doing a fine job. There is only so much one can do to the apply pressure to the DNRE, they simply do not move at a very fast pace .

He's now a roaming contract nurse. I have not talked to him in a couple months, but last I knew he was in Arizona.

We are still waiting on DNRE approval of the flagged route

What is the hang up with that ? Something to do with the some Master Plan or some such thing ?
All the land mgr. has to do is walk the *beep* thing with some body familiar with the lay out and give an up or down with some input for tweakage of the route . Couple hours of his/her time tops . This is the kind of stuff I have absolutely no patience for . Hence my role as just one of the worker bees .
