Fat Tire Festival

Sorry if this isn't the proper forum but does anyone know if the Copper Harbor trails are closed during the Fat Tire Festival this Labor Day weekend? I see they have scheduled races all day Sat. and Sun. but I don't know if they close all of the trails or if some are rideable. Thanks.

Most of the trails will be open the 1st day of racing, it is a downhill race. The 2nd day is the cross country race and the trails will be closed for the most part. But the race doesn't take all day and you can ride before and after. But you will probably want to hang out in town for the after race party anyway.... to much fun!!!

Make sure you hit the Swedetown trails in Calumet while you are up there.

Great. Thanks!

We'll have to check out Swedetown as well. I was hoping something else was fairly close to ride. Any other suggestions nearby? I'm also hoping to hit Rock Lake in WI.

Brunos Run is fun, good spot to stop on the way up... I have never done the Tech trails but I hear good things.

There is a ton of riding in the Keweenaw besides copper harbor, Swedetown is great as mentioned above as well as the Tech Trails and Maasto Hiito/churning rapids trails in hancock.
