Awesome time this weekend guys!

Thanks again Paul for the bridge help and the Hammer, Joshua Tree and water hookup!

Looking forward to another HCP ride in June, and that mega hill MMM ride!

Thanks to everybody who put this ride together. It was definitely worth the drive up. Looking forward to next summer - but maybe just the 50 miler!

Bail at Pigeon:
myself, alexyoung

Another great HCP weekend is in the books. I'm only a little disappointed that I didn't continue on, but it made for a much more humane day on Sunday.

Wow, this is gonna be a tough one to shake. Only two days have gone by, and I've already forgotten the pain, and looking forward to getting back up there.

I love it that two guys are willing to drive from Ohio, yet we still can't pull more people from metro Detroit. At least the west siders know what it's all about. :)

Time to get back on the bike tomorrow, the body is starting to feel almost normal again.

Did anyone get a pic of that pickup truck that nearly ran us over in the fog?

i think everyone was more concerned with getting out of the way.
it was a white ford, newer style with the big front end, headlights were off.
a pic wouldnt have done it justice, would have needed video of how fast it went by.

Garmin page... don't take it too literal, we took a few detours 8)

You almost don't think it's too big of a deal, until you fall asleep at work the next two days and have to eat constantly

Nice to see the newbies had a good time.

Definitely a fun fun trail with lots of leg burning miles.

Interesting. I see the difference of about 3000 ft. in climbing between the two garmin readouts. My iphone died between the Pigeon car and Rattlesnake, and it shows about 3000 ft up to that point. That means roughly 3000 ft. of climbing from Rattlesnake to the end (I'm a math whiz). That's quite a bit of climbing at the end of a long day of riding! Maybe that's why tonite will be my first ride since last Saturday.

Yes most of the climbing does come at the end. I had seen the profile for the ride ahead of time and when everyone kept saying that they wanted to get the hard stuff out of the way first I couldn't figure out why they were going counter clockwise that is until I rode that slow bumpy nasty stuff at the beginning.

My legs are also whooped, I did a 20 mile ride at recovery pace on Monday and just finished a 50 miler today. Both were on the rode with the mtb.
