So, are we thinking June 1st?

Sure, just as long as you promise it will be warmer than 45 degrees that weekend

Last year the cold temps and rain all day gave that HCP ride just a little more Tabasco....

What fun is dry boardwalk?

I'll reserve the site when it gets a little closer...

Does someone want to book the group site for this weekend? It's unlikely that someone else will come in and snipe it from us but I booked the mini cabin for 5-31 & 6-1 and making changes to the dates doesn't sound too easy or cheap. Maybe I'm just getting old but it's not going to be a repeat of last year sleeping in a 30 something degree damp tent and then riding ~30 miles for 6 or 8 hours, whatever it was. Last year it was pretty much an all night/ all day rain event. I think it finally stopped raining and the sun came out towards the end of the ride.

Right now we have 2 riders sleeping in this heated cabin. We will have room for 2, possibly 3 more with 1 person on a cot if anyone would be interested in sharing the cost. It cost me ~$50/night so we'll just split the cost evenly. As we get closer to the date and see the predicted temps, you can make up your mind at that time. As I said earlier, not going to have a repeat of last year and then ride the entire day starting out cold. Going to get a good nights sleep in a guaranteed warm cabin.

Glen - Keep us posted on proposed trail days. I am going to try and make it to at least 1 of them this year.

I put up an official post for the ride. (its an old one that Jamie wrote many years ago.)
Please post all future HCP SS ride posts to the HCP Summer Solstice ride - June 1st 2013 site.
