I have a nice commute, 11 miles one way. Mostly side roads & Hines drive, more downhill on the way in, so I don't get too sweaty if I don't push too hard. Changing area with locker & sink, no shower though. The uphill on the way home can be a drag on the hot days. I shoot for a couple days a week, but I'm not there and falling further behind. I trashed a wheel going over a constuction drop I didn't see until it was too late and I haven't gotten around to repairing. Anyway still not too bad: year to date I have 33 commutes for 757 miles.

NIce! 8) @ 20 miles per gal, that would put a couple of C notes in your pocket... :)
Doing a "ride your bike!" event at work Friday so hoping it doesn't rain too hard! (apologies to all the farmers...)

here is a cheap solar shower http://www.bing.com/shopping/5-gallon-s ... &FORM=HURE

for me it would be still pretty cold, since it wouldnt get sun all night, it would be whatever air temp is, but an old tarp and a floor drain would get me some privacy and a lot cleaner.
Riding in isnt bad, just some baby wipes. Running in i would rig up the shower. A hot water tap somewhere would be nice.

Here is my setup so far for this year. I riding 3 days a week at this point 14 miles round trip. Sorry for the foggy pictures my phone was fogged from the ride. I find that if I ride around 16mph average I do not sweat so much. Any faster and I am dripping. I can not wait for it to get a bit cooler. Hope you all like.

If you curious those are Pacific Outdoor Equipment Panniers (very nice and waterproof)

mr_opjones wrote:I may not get as sweaty as you, but I soak my head with cold water when I get in, wipe down with wet towels and give myself 5 minutes to cool down before I put my work clothes on. I have to do this in the middle of the restroom and really don’t care if I look out of place doing it. As for the wet clothes I don’t have a good solution for that, I just stuff them into my backpack and make sure everything gets washed right away.

T- Don't you guys have a mezzanine in your building, I though I saw one when I was there last year...

Anyway...When I was with my previous employer I would change, then go up in the mezzanine, that was used for odd storage and hang my stuff up...
