Is it time for Woodward Avenue, the thoroughfare that helped define the almighty auto, to give back some space to alternatives?
The Woodward Avenue Action Association is looking into the possibilities.
The time may not be ripe for light rail transit on or near Woodward.
Yet, it may not be too soon to make the eight-lane thoroughfare friendlier to pedestrians and bicyclists.

i hear the logistics of coordinating all this may be cumbersome,
especially with funding issues (pronounced CUTS) in the state, but...

...ya gotta have a dream.
