I added a kombisystem head and attachments to the chapter wish list last year. I'm not sure where we stand with this list - I'll look into it.

I'm very partial to the powerscythe attachment. It's shorter, it has a skid plate for ground contact, it's more robust, and pretty much anything smaller than 1 inch in diameter is fair game. It's my go-to tool for trimming.

Metro North has one of those, very nice, very handy. Don't know offhand what the shaft length of ours is.

We purchased a kombi tool last week, and it's been put to pretty good use so far. It's currently signed out to Justin for Commerce.

Yeah, I put two tanks of gas through it at Novi on Saturday AM and it's an animal. The only downside I see to it is that it makes you more likely to do more work Stuff you would have left if you just had loppers become fodder for really getting some trimming done! This thing is going to be a great asset to the chapter....we may need another

FWIW, unless you have trails with fairly tall hedges on both sides for decent distances (hmmm, maybe the section after the Expert loop at the tree farm?), one will be enough. Best to supplement with a couple of nice straight-shaft (hehe, I said "shaft" ) line trimmers, as they are lighter and generally more versatile.

I used it today for the first time on the assorted thorny vines and bushes of the powerline section on Loop 1 at Proud Lake.
It is absolutely the right tool for the job - thanks for following through and getting a couple of these.
