New! Shiny! And ours, just in time for serious trimming season.

On behalf of the Metro South TCs, a big Thanks! to our members and supporters for making this purchase possible. It should save our volunteers a lot of time.

Every chapter should have a one if not two of the Sthil Kombi motors . Been using one for the past 3 seasons and the machine has performed without flaw . Bought a pole saw attachment today to carve out better sight lines on some blind corners on the Poto . That oughta be fun .

Cool. That's got like a 16 foot 'circle of death', but seems like it's a lot safer for the operator than a chainsaw or brush blade.

We're thinking of getting one of those chainsaw-like heads as well.

Pole Pruner in action. After seeing i WELL WORTH THE MONEY! The added safety it gave us while trying to get some low overhanging, tangled up trees out of the way was unbelievable! The size of the limbs it was able to handle were quite amazing as well...HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to any chapter....

I hope those are safety glasses that gentleman is wearing. IMO tools like this really do require them. Awesome tool.

This is an open forum if you don't like my opinions, tuff s@!t. Don't read them. Heres another one for ya. I think
anyone who does not wear safety glasses while using a chainsaw and that's really what that attachment is. I have used it, is foolish. IMO.

I agree with you. You should wear safety glasses when operating these tools, and there are several pairs in the Metro South trailer that are available for use.

(Still, I'd like to point out that on the spectrum of risky, foolish things I've done in my life, this item seems pretty near the bottom.)

Loren,

How's that blade work out for you on the trimmer head?
