Triple Trail Challenge 2012

Postby SANTA_CRUZ » July 24th, 2012, 2:24 pm

Just so everyone that visits this forum knows and I want to verify that this year's TTC takes place on Saturday, Sept. 15th correct ? Unfortunately, I just got a sign up email for the Tour De Troit which I have done the past few years, love it and wanted to do it again, but it's on the same day !! :x Grrrr
But, I think that I will have to stay true to my annual dedication of riding in this great day of singletrack, beer with like minded mtbers, so I will be in Pinckney that morning. Wish the dates didn't conflict. Darn the bad luck.....
I love mountain biking because I haven't found anything that is more FUN !!
Of all the paths you choose in life....make sure some of them are DIRT !!

Commuting miles in 2012 = 1065
Total road/trail miles = 2800
Number of rides = 152
Trails ridden = 28 different in MI, 2 in Oregon

Saw a quick facebook blurb with a link to the mDNR website mentioning this. Haven't heard of it before and for some reason google isn't very helpful. Does anybody have more info?

Not that it would ever get used (touch wood) but the rain date is off, looks like a left over from last year.

Always a good ride w/chili and brew to wrap it up.

That decision was a no-brainer. 8)
Same weekend as No-Quamegon, the Fat Man seeded me so deep I think that decision is gonna be EZ as well.

Hey everyone, wanted to let you know about the stuff that will be available for this year's TTC. We'll have some awesome looking tshirts as well a new beer glass. See the pics at the end of this post.

This year each of these items is available for pre-sale at treefortbikes.com or you can buy them at the event. If you want to pay with credit card or just get the purchasing hassle out of the way to guarantee you get what you want, it's a great idea to pre-order them. Each of the links below has more information but basically you'll need to print out your receipt with your order number and bring it to the ride where you can then pick up your stuff.

To get information about pre-ordering or to pre-order the tshirt click here:

For the beer glass click here:

Here's a pic of the shirt design. There will be a brown and a red version available. Click the link above to see both colors and the backs.

And the beer glass...picture it filled with yummy carbonated goodness from ABC:

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Looking forward to it since I don't really have anything to train for, I can just ride for more of the pleasure and continued slowness than anything else.

I have plenty of each, but I think I will "have to" get both the new T-shirt and the cool drinking glass.
I've been riding trails every day all week in preparation for this event. (I'm on a biking vacation)

Sally, not to worry, both of these younger guys are familiar with the Poto and will most likely be dragging me around (maybe).
I miss you girl, you need to show up at Morty T for a ride with me soon !

You can download a copy of the map for this year's Triple Trail Challenge here:

http://www.potomba.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/2012TTC_Map_updated.pdf

We’ll have some printed copies of this available before the ride but if you can print out your own copy and bring it, that will help make sure we have enough to distribute to others who don’t see this ahead of time.

We (myself and the Snap Poto Crue) just got done with some serious chaining and trimming of the trail last night in advance of the event. The trail is looking good. JRS -- no Park Lyndon, but the section from Island Lake Road to M-52 is looking nice!
