How do I post pictures in the forums?

I just tried to upload some pics of the Invitational Cycloross and got this message:

Reply to this with an example of the link. Leave the http:// off the front so the forum software doesn't try to automatically format it.

That's not an image, it's a web page. You need a link to an image itself, like nuxx.net/gallery/d/86871-3/IMG_4068.jpg (prefix with http:// if needed).

When I copy and paste the forum code and insert inbetween the [img][img] it displays a hyperlink to the photo and not just the image? Any help would be appreciated.

You're missing the / in the last img that makes it look like this: [/img]

The reason his didn't work is that the forum software doesn't often like sets of tags together on the same line.. let me demonstrate.

The one works fine when a carriage return in put between the two sets of image tags... The 1st one didn't work because the URL has a trailing slash after the image name.

That link returns a 403, so the server probably couldn't access it.
