Trail is in good condition.. Hats off to for the people who helped trim the trail. Very few scratchy weeds compared to before... About 2 or 3 tree downs totall on all trails where you actually need to get off the bike.

watch out 4 that tree

Postby rockymtn » August 18th, 2004, 10:15 pm

Watch out for the downed treee around mile 8.25, just after Slickrock hill. There is a tree on a small downhill that is about 2 feet high across the trail. I tried to move it but needed a second person to get it out of the way.

The trail is great! Thanks to those that trimmed the trail. So nice to come off the trail without blood all over my arms

The tree on B after the C interchange (~8.3 miles not including C) has been removed thanks to the help from Ian and Mike on Saturday. A and B had no "unridable" downed trees... we skipped C to ride D. D still has its usual decapitators... and still a lot of fun :!:  Just watch your head :!:

Rode A and B this morning. There are several trees down in the first three miles of A/B. Unfortunately I didn't set my trip odometer before the ride so I don't have exact milage locations. Two of the trees will require a chainsaw to remove.

Yeah, a group of us rode all fours loops on Halloween morning and there
were at least 6-8 trees down on all the loops combined, a few big ones.
Couldn't tell you exactly where they were.

The trail is totally covered in fallen leaves now which makes it even
more interesting to ride since you can't see what the leaves are hiding.

I love mountain biking because I haven't found anything that is more FUN !!
Of all the paths you choose in life....make sure some of them are DIRT !!

Commuting miles in 2012 = 1065
Total road/trail miles = 2800
Number of rides = 152
Trails ridden = 28 different in MI, 2 in Oregon

I did A,B and C today and they were all in good shape as far as being dry. There were a lot of downed tress as the previous post states , but besides that I had a blast.

Awesome night ride tonight 12/9/04. Everone missed out. No mud, perfect conditions! (Except for the downed trees). Only people to make it were John and Phattmatt.

Rode Highland A& B today; trail was good w/some trees do

Postby KokoRider » January 15th, 2005, 8:36 pm

Trail is 50% covered with 1" of snow; frozen solid everwhere. Very little ice - surreal frozen stream crossing is the exception. I don't have studs but made it up all the hills. About 4 or 5 trees require riders to dismount. Several other MTBers riding today too.

Does anyone know what the trail is like right now? Should I go with studded tires or just knobbies?

Thanks
