Addison Oaks Trail day, Saturday Nov. 22nd

Postby chris_werth » November 17th, 2008, 2:59 pm

We will be meeting Saturday November 22nd, 8:30 a.m at the Maintenance building. We will be removing leaves and any thing else that has fallen onto the trail.

Bring gloves, Rakes and leaf blowers if you have them.

There are a couple of areas that could use some repairs from braking bumps. Bring a metal rake if you would like to take care of those.

I think everything is going to frozen till after noon . Saturdays low temps are going to be in the low 20's . The afternoon temps may reach 40 degrees but everything in the shaded areas will still be frozen .
I have removed frozen leaves at Addison and it can be done with a strong rake .
I talked to Boyd last Friday about shingling the bridge going into the lake loop . We looked for some shingles but had no luck . Then Kenny walked up and informed us he needed them for another roofing job . I will try and get some shingles before Saturday and post up .

We had 5 people show....thanks NOSS crew. Got about 2.5 miles of the trail done by hand. We will attempt to get back out there soon to finish it up. It will help a ton if we can get more people out there to help next time.

No promises, but I do WANT to help you out Chris...
Stony and the paying job kept me away this time.
As far as I know, next weekend is open for me? (I may be at work Sat morning, but nothing after that....)
Pete.

That would be a good way to work off some of that turkey. Let me know I should be around.
