Looking for Maybury Race Volunteers

Postby Sherpaboy » July 13th, 2009, 10:34 am

It is that time of year again where the MMBA Metro South chapter needs you help. For the past 3 years we have put on a MTB race at Maybury State Park. Our chapter handles all the organization, planning, and promoting. It is a great way for our chapter to raise funds to use towards the trails, tools, and education. Since this is a benefit and all the proceeds go to our volunteer organization...we need some volunteers to help during the day. Usually the tasks are pretty easy, but a huge help to us. Ideally if you are not racing it makes it easier for planning and scheduling, but if you are racing we could still use your help....Or at least we can try to plan around your start time.
Race Day is Saturday August 22nd

Were looking for course marshals, registration helpers, set up help, tear down and clean, and more...

Please e-mail me if you can help us out. Include any notes if you are racing or have limited time during the day so we can plan accordingly.

Thanks for you continued support...

The race is coming up quick, if there are any people who would like to still volunteer we can always use a hand.

*** Also please note were looking for a few bike patrollers to help with the day as well. Adam Claar will be here to help us, but it can't hurt to have a few more first responders avail.

Thanks in advance

Mike, I might be interesting in helping out. What exactly is a bike patroller ? That sounds pretty cool (I like)
I could also help with other stuff if needed. Let me know approximate times if you can.

Gary

Mike,

Frank and I will be patrolling. I'll need to stay at the race start area and Frank can be on the trail. I will also have some MMBA membership flyers/Metro South flyers, possibly the banners and maybe the trailer.
