I still think Quirring frames are top shelf, even at a national level . 8)

Ok, fine, twist my arm. I'll post a pic of one all built up:

Image
Yes, that's a 1x10 set up with the new SRAM XX. The way this bike sits it is 20.5 pounds. This particular bike isn't in the shop right now, but you can check it out if you are at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show this weekend in Scott Quiring's booth!

You need to get rid of that front sus and get it below 20lbs. 8)

That's a really nice looking bike. It's too bad companies insist on putting flowers on pink components, though. I'd love it if one could get such colors without the OH THIS IS FOR A GIRL SO IT MUUUUUST BE PRETTY implications.

You want a pretty pink bicycle? :icon_girl2:

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Sure! And my fiancée thinks it's really nice looking as well, but is really put off by the flowers on the brakes.

Pink or not, that is a awesome bike. If only I was not poor, I would love that setup(minus the pink...)

I think the bike is pink not because it for a girl but because it is a breast cancer awareness bike. Did you see the pink ribbons on the frame and this little bit of information?

I can't speak of the flowers on the brakes though. My wife, who is a breast cancer survivor, would be put off by them as well.

I did, but please note that I was talking about the pink components; not the bike overall. In this case, specifically the Hope brakes. Everything else on there just happens to be pink, and looks quite nifty.

And yes, I did see the Koman stuff. I just didn't mention it, because I've got no issue with it. :)

I can't believe everyone is supposedly put off by the black and white flowers on the brakes. They look great.

The only question I have is who put together the components list? Awesome job! :icon_thumright:

The bike came out fantastic and it really needs to be photographed on a trail by to do her justice.

Larry
