Nice, I can't wait to jump it! Ah I mean photograph it.
I suck at jumping and would never make something that big.
But I can't wait to come by and do some shooting at your place.

Anyone want to give me gas money! LOL

What kind of bikes are needed to withstand the abuse of jumps that big?

You could jump that thing on a fully rigid bike if you wanted to. It's all about smooth transitions and angles :)

The only abuse is if you don't make it.

This! In Jimmi terms "easy" is smooth...lol

You'll still appreciate the small things tho.

That is freakin' awesome. I wish I was a little younger. I still enjoy some nice, smooth jumps but that is way too big for me.

One thing, though - don't be hatin' on the spandex. I like to ride as fast as possible for a couple of hours and I enjoy having my *beep* un-chafed when I'm done.

Old guys in spandex rule! :-)

Wow. Very manly and yet foolish, I think. I think I'd rather take it a bit safer, keep my lower leg firmly attached to my upper leg, and Mountain Bike until I'm at least 70.

I do hope it works out for Jimmy, and he doesn't become truly debilitated too soon.

I know a road cyclist that crashed in one too many crits and had so many joint injuries that he had to completely give up cycling in his mid 40's only a couple years after he quit racing. By his mid 50's he could barely walk. He's now in his 60's and using a walker.

But hey, I get it. These adrenaline sports are all about living in the moment and not worrying about the consequences. It does look like a blast.
