I'm super pumped for demo days as i've been going back and forth between what kind of bike to buy but didn't want to buy a new one with out trying a few out. I do have a few questions that I can't seem to find the answers to on the site. Please help so I know what to expect.

The email I had received says 9-5 but the post says 10-5? Which is it? Also, how do they know what kind of bike we want to ride besides a "mountain bike"? Looking to try out a 29er and don't want to wait an hour before riding. Also how many miles are you able to ride? Are we able to ride the entire blue or yellow loop or just a mile or two of one of them? Can we ride more than one bike to compare different brands and styles (29er vs hardtail)?

Thank You

Wolverine,

I don't remember taking anything with me last year. They have a list with all your info, you give them your license, and they give you a "Demo Pass" that is used to take bikes out.

DLY,

Most manufactures will hae both mtb and road bikes. Last year Specialized had all (or most) of the S-Works bikes there. Stumpy FSR & Hardtail, Epic, MAYBE a 29"er. I am sure they will have some this year, as well as the other companies.

As for the wait, it all depends on how busy they are, and what size bike you need.

The "E-mail you received", was that after you pre-registered? I haven't gotten anything after I registered.

There will be a designated demo loop to keep turn-over of bikes moving and to avoid long waits.
When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bike. Then I realized that The Lord doesn't work that way, so I stole one and asked him to forgive me.

As mentioned earlier, you will be riding the demo loop which is about 2 miles long on the trails. The big trucks will be there with probably over 1000 bikes. it is very unlikley that you wont be able to find a bike with the frame you want to try. You can ride as many bikes as you want between 10 and 5.

What about pedals and shoes? Do all the bikes have platforms on them?

I want to try both road and mountain bikes - does that mean I should bring 2 prs of shoes and pedals?

and what about clothes? I don't want to show up all - matchy-matchy in my road bike kit and have all of you laugh at me.... :D

Come check out the Look Quartz pedals. I will have a size run of shoes there with the cleats already attached.

I am looking forward to this. I was at Cycle Fit tonight when the GT truck/trailer arrived at their shop. The guy was cool and let us check out the bikes. Hooked us up with some shirts as well.
