The ground may be covered in white, but it's time to start planning ahead for spring! We have lots of work to do at the High Country Pathway clearing dead fall, brushing back face slappers and scrub and putting up the new signage. We'll be doing at least two trail days this spring, the tentative dates are April 30th and May 14th. The plan is to do the Vanderbilt side one weekend and the Atlanta side the other, camping will be at Clear Lake and at Pigeon Bridge.
As for what to bring? Typically we are clearing dead fall so a chainsaw or pruning works well. If you have a backpack that works with said chainsaw, even better. I'll have an extra pack to loan out, it won't be pretty but it will be functional. And of course, you'll need your bike and any supplies you need to keep your body happy.
Lets get this thing whipped in to shape shape for the summer solstice ride and show people why it's designated an IMBA epic!
