I just don't know all the side stuff that one can read about in the Advocacy, MMBA News, and Volunteers Needed forums. I don't read about them because these forums. I believe a few other people said the same thing here. Some of the posters who do nothing but try to start arguments are not even MMBA members, yet a new comer may not know that. So they read all the *beep* matches and go away. I refer people to the MMBA all the time, but I tell them the forums are useless (trail condition forum is really good).
I come here to get the race schedule and check the day before a race to see if it's on. Otherwise I only venture here when I'm bored. If I have serious biking questions (mtb, road, tri) I'll go to other forums where people are treated with more respect and you can get honest answers to questions, without having to deal with the immaturity of some of the posters here. There really is no 'fix' to the issue with forums. It's just the culture.

You do realize that the forum is a collection of people saying what they say, right? It's not the voice of the MMBA as a whole.
