Sold to the highest bidder.

Please send me a PM if interested. I may not check this thread.

size 11 shoes for a new rider?

Postby mtbyker » April 30th, 2011, 7:55 pm

I hooked up this young guy I work with with a bike today, and we went to the Fort and had a blast. I gave him some egg beater pedals but my feet are way smaller than his. Anyone have some old mtb shoes laying around?

Any junker early 90's Specialized, Trek, Cannondales out there?

My cousin is in need of a MTB. He has little funds and new to biking.
That being said, he will be partaking in a 30hr adventure race in 4 weeks that will guarantee at least 60miles road and ST. At this point he doesn't have a bike.
Let me know what you have. If it's broke that's Ok, I can fix it.

Anything will help.

Thanks
Joe

GONE!

Free:
- Four 5 gallon (20 gallons total) boxes of salt water for aquarium. This is purified ocean water, for a salt water tank. Ready to go.
- Most of a large bucket of aquarium salt, also for a salt water tank.
- misc salt water aquarium chemicals, testing stuff, etc.

Took down the reef tank :( , need to find home(s) for this stuff soon...

Free to good home. Jamis Citizen frame / suspension fork, with headset-stem-bar-seatpost. Touring / hybrid frame - takes 700c wheels, with clearance in the rear for about 30mm but no more. About a size 17 inch frame. No shipping, but I travel between Traverse City and Lansing frequently.

I don't think it's ever been built, but it's been hanging out in my garage for years and is kind of scratched up in places. I think I bought it off this board back in 2005. It was a project that never happened for me. The fork is suntour 880 with 1 inch steer tube and adjustment knobs on the crown (but I have no clue what they do). It's springy, seemingly in great shape. One of the rear V brake posts got poached some time ago, but I have may have one to replace it.

Also free to a good home - I have a 2005-ish woman's 17-inch Sugar. It's taken some spills but (I think) the frame is solid. It's sat on the trainer for a few years after my wife upgraded, and has a slick on the back. But it's free for pickup in the next couple days...
