I have about 2-3 years worth of BIKE and Mountain Bike Action magazines. Instead of tossing into recycle bin, it may be of interest for someone to grab these back issues. May be useful to someone new to MTB'ing.

Located in Rochester, PM me for info.

I have a mid-school Odyssey Pitbull brake from a 1991 factory Revcore and a 42-tooth chainring for anyone who wants them. Pickup downwriver or Roseville area, or I can ship UPS collect.

NON Bike Related: For Free - Two ceiling fans:

1. Brass and wood-ish Hunter fan w/ light kit and remote
2. White Sahara w/out light.

Come and get them... They both work.

Strong, Light, Cheap - Pick Two.
Strong, Light, Ugly and Free, - Pick all Four!

1 Specialized Phenom SL w/ Ti rails - white 143mm. Has scuffs on sides and a tear on the side of the nose. Covered with almost matching white electrical tape. Want something cheap for your beater? Want to try out the Phenom before you plunk down real money for a good looking one? This saddle is for you.

Selle Italia SLR saddle - 135 Grams and feels like it. Came on my 2002 Merlin so probably about 8 years old. A few scuffs but not that bad. Doesn't fit my butt.

Pair Forte 700C x 28mm road tires. I think they are these: http://www.performancebike.com/bikes/Product_10052_10551_1089790_-1_1590008_20000_400904
Went a different direction for my commuter.

I can send pics. Can meet at local trails or whatever....

Second dibs on the Selle Italia SLR saddle. Any interest in meeting up at Mayberry?
I might also be interested in the Specialized seat if the other is gone.

This cheap gel seat is very wide and the gel is now mush from sitting. ( idk where my original seat went >.< ).
1997 Specialized FSR Ground Control.

Re: Pay It Forward (aka free stuff) BIKE??

Postby IBrake4Squirrels » September 8th, 2011, 1:13 am

Worst anyone can say is no...or Im crazy.

Im new MMBA as you can see from my join date. I want to get started, hitting the trails before winter comes and f--ks my world up but I am on a tight budget. Laid off September 1, and in the process of getting a new job. If anyone has a bike they have been trying to sell and cant, and you feel like "doing a good deed", Im your guy.

I used to ride bmx when I was younger, but now my interest is in trail riding. Some may think Im crazy, or think, why does this kid (25) need a bike, well, because I asked...

So, if anyone has anything close to a trail ready bike, they would like to help a kid out whose living paycheck to paycheck, let me know. Send a PM my way or post it on here. Believe me, when my luck with work turns around and I have some extra cash, that favor would be gladly passed to someone else when Im ready to upgrade.

To all that read and cared, thanks.
To all that read and think Im full of Sh-T, its ok, Im just trying to find that 1 person who "doesn't need the money"
