I was trying to get some mtb footage to send to friends who are unfamiliar with mtb. Here at the Novi tree farm, I was try to catch some air off the hill after the crater, but I misjudged the way the ground falls away again, and I just went over backward. I was able to ride my way out, after the wind was knocked totally out of me. I have some very large bruises today, which for your sake, I am not sharing.
I don't think I have embedded this video correctly, so if anyone could give me a pointer on that, I will correct it. Thanks.

Holy crap, that looked pretty bad. Hope you are OK after that. The one and only time I rode the crater, I got way too much air, and almost ended up like that, but luckily caught it before anything bad happened.

If you ever want to go spend an afternoon falling at the crater again, PM me. It's my second favorite pastime... right behind going way too fast into the pump track and shooting out of the first berm.
Glad you're ok... Were you with it enough after your fall to pin the next rock garden?
Glad to hear your alright. I love the groans of agony at the end. Im sorry but that there is some funny s@!t.

I didn't try much of anything after that, just wanted to make it to the truck! I have tried the following rock garden twice, only making it about 3/4 through each time. I need more speed at the start, or more pedaling in the middle, or I should just bunny hop the whole *beep* thing.
If you hit the back brake it will pull your front end down. Glad you are ok. Big guys can catch air...they just land harder.
Martyrs or marines who do you think gets the virgins? 27,275 total miles since 2002 miles for 2013... 790.5 miles..hmm, its a start. miles for 2012 on mountainbike all on teenie, tiny, normal sized wheels 1309.5miles .
