Actually, the trail days have been used(this year anyway) for clean up and repair/replacement of existing structures in preparation for events(Poker Run/TT).

The only new stunts that I know of over the last couple of years have come by way of an individual(Reid) taking the time and initiative to build something on their own. The design is a result of the individual's artistic license and permit of the TC. I certainly appreciate the work that Reid has put in and hope he continues to contribute unique features in the future. I'm sure he just *loves* hearing how his efforts aren't good enough or don't mimic features from another trail.

I'd speculate that one would be permitted to work on a special project on a scheduled trail day, or could schedule an unofficial day, if help was required to install an approved feature.

It's not a question of if his efforts aren't good enough. It was a suggestion I think, originally, about adding dirt to the stunt to pack it in. That is all.

We've had about 50 volunteers for trail days for the past few years. This spring trail day was rained out, and the make up day was less attended because of conflicts that arise once racing and other events start. (Someone in central CA posted recently that they have upwards of 200 volunteers at a couple of their trail days each year. Imagine what mountains you could move with that...)

We're glad when people appreciate and enjoy the farm, but it's not unanimous by any stretch. There are a fair number of riders who ride it once, find it not to their taste, and never return. And that's okay - we're really blessed in this state with a lot of cool, diverse trails and trail builders with different ideas and goals. And that means each log pile has it's own unique character. I'd ride this one.
