if you have a dj bike already you can usually add a front brake and gears or an easier gear if you stay single speed and the geometry will work. I rode trials for years and i hated having a bike just for trials because that is literally the only thing that bike can do and you tend to not go out and ride it as much because it sucks so bad for getting around and they are not comfortable to cover any distance. You end finding spots to ride and getting in and out of the car to go from place to place. My "trials bike" is also my dj bike and my skate park bike and I use it for any street riding I do. basicly I took more of slalom race frame instead of dj bike with a bit higher bottom bracket and put a stiff 100mm fork on it. I run gears in the back and a larger rotor in the front and it works great. But thats just me
I just like to ride!
