I was trying to find some group rides in or very close to Waterford for years with no luck... Is there any group rides (big or small / year long) in our area?
I'm looking for some easy rides on cross or mountain bikes...

PS.
A lot of ppl are talking about this bunny ride... I know that there is Fat bike demo same day, also my b-day, but I think that quite a few ppl will show up... I'm in!

Bump. Hey MediumRB, do you think the weather will be good for this?

I was about to post something on this...
The weather may cooperate. I think I will have to make the call on Friday or Saturday. The race would be less fun w/o snow, since the road portion would be just plain old pavement and the off-road portion would be frozen, bumpy mud and ice patches. I'm not saying it cannot be done w/o snow, but it would be a lesser event.

Keep checking in and I will inform the world of the likelihood.

Still hoping there will be enough snow to make it fun on Sunday at 11am. In case you assumed the Pontiac Snow Bunny is at PLRA, you are incorrect. The location is here, at the east end of Vanguard Drive in Pontiac. There is an open semi trailer there that will serve as HQ+Start/Finish.

Stay tuned for condition (cancellation) updates on Friday & Saturday.

Yeah - this will happen. See you all on Sunday at 11am. Bring your game face and sense of humor.

Checked out the course this afternoon - it will serve our purposes. Got some Icy Beast and other goodies.
Not at PLRA - actually in Pontiac at the east end of Vanguard Drive off Telegraph (just south of the Oakland County campus, north of Elizabeth. Lake Road).
11am - see you tomorrow!

I usually don't ride with a buzz, let alone drinking hot sauce and beer, but it was fun. Good event even if used as zombie apocalypse prep training. A mix of suburban sprints and fields, trail and a spin through the bur infested ice puddles.

Thanks for coming out, you hardy few. I somehow managed to ride home and then took a nap on my dog's bed for 2 hours...

Everybody was a winner - even DFL went home with a prize.*

Awesome race, or should I say organized activity. Took the monotony out of saddle time. I look forward to the next one.

Hey Scott - I have your fender that you took off your bike during the race. PM me and I'll get it back to you.

A few pictures. Besides drinking almost every lap, there was the opportunity to warm up with some hot sauce shots.

This will happen again. I checked out the area yesterday and can make a longer, more interesting circuit.
When the snow comes, we will be Snow Bunnies and ride again!
