I rode the north unit today and it's not in bad shape for the most part, leafs on the trail and muddy in low spots just a tad slippery some places.

Rode the south unit today and it's not tooooo bad. The lower spots that hold water are very wet and walked around those spots....the rest is a little slippery.

North unit is pretty goopy throughout - and with this week's forecast, it's likely to remain that way with the mixed bag of precipitation and freeze/thaw. With the predicted low temps this coming week, I doubt even a 6am ride would be very clean.

Recommend to avoid this trail until more consistent below-freezing conditions.

North was great tonight. All clear. Some ice and mostly snow covered.

North unit was good this afternoon. Just a little snow, but I got good grip with regular tires. Lots of dog-walkers out though.

Rode the south unit this morning and it is pretty choppy from walkers and a few snowmobiles. Almost easier to ride where no one had been. I imagine fat bikes would have an easier time on the heavier traffic areas.

South unit was excellent this afternoon. There had been a few snowmobile passes yesterday which helped pack the snow but for the most part it wasn't icy so the trails are fast.

CRAMBA: Bald Mountain

Addison Oaks was so icy today, I decided to go check out bald mountain. For the most part it's frozen and you can ride it, but just be careful it's probably 25% ice. Just make sure you stay off the center portion of the trail and watch your speed and you should be fine it is rideable.

The south unit was a mixed bag this morning. There has been no snowmobile traffic but the park had driven its gator over parts of the trail which left a wide and packed trail to follow. But they didn't ride around all of the trail so the other sections are choppy snow with footprints. Not insurmountable but not as much fun as the rest of the trail either.

Rode the North Unit Sunday.I We din not attempt to ride between Lk. Grg and the Ranger House. Instead we bailed at Lk. Grg and took Predmore back to the car. Deadfall aside, it was only soft in three places but nothing that was bad or sinking. I hope by Sat. it will be in good shape again.

Well folks.... as a last min. thought I stuffed my bike into the back of may car this morning. Good thing... it overheated on the way to work. I was able to get it to Bald Mt. before it died. After calling work to say this days shot.... I pulled out the my sled and biked home. With the fog and the way folk fly down Lk Grg in the morning half asleep at the wheel,I decided to take the safer way through the trail and pop out on Conklin and ride home through town. To my Suprise only that "ditchy" spot along Harmon past the Trail head and behind the Cabins were icky (I did not ride behind the Rangers house... one can only imagine its condition now). The rest of the trail including the connector trail to Conklin was firm and moist. not muddy, not soft , not flinging mud up from my tires .. just plain not bad :D ! I would say tomorrow , Ranger area aside, the North Unit would be a good choice. Happy Trails!

Addison is pretty NFG right now. Go with BMN and dirt roads.
