Do you need any tools?

For discussing CRAMBA (formerly Metro North and Holly-Flint chapters) topics.

Do you need any tools?

Postby madmike23 » February 23rd, 2012, 12:04 pm

I do not have a lot of available time to participate in trail days and thata bothers me. I wish I did. I would like to know if there are any tools the trailer needs.

Thanks,
Michael

Wow, that's an awesome gesture. I'm surprised that no one has replied.

It is a generous offer.

As a neighboring chapter, we think the CRAMBA trailer needs a Ditch Witch SK650. We would gratefully borrow this from time to time. As good neighbors do.

Thanks in advance.

LOL @ Loren
I am not sure that can accualy fit "IN" the trailer. Does that not require it "OWN" Trailer :D

If we had that problem of having a SK650, we'd find a way to make it fit.

Mike: Thanks for the very generous offer, but at the time, I can't think of any tools we might need for the trailer. If any other CRAMBA board members or TCs can think of anything, I hope they chime in.

Thanks again for the offer.

Nothing that is personally affordable by most that I can think of.

Brush mower and Ditch Witch are the only things that come to mind.

I don't see why the Ditch Witch AND trailer acquisition couldn't be a joint effort among SE MI friends. ;-) I'm sure there's enough experience in these two chapters combined to put on one *beep* of a fundraising effort involving bikes and beers that would greatly contribute to the new toy fund. :-D

What do you mean by a "brush mower", like a walk behind DR Trimmer?

Just FYI, CRAMBA already has a walk-behind trimmer. We got it late last year and it works very well.

I went out the the trailer the other day looking for a pick or a mattock and couldn't find one. Probably could use one or two of those. Also you can't have too many McLeods. A tamper might be nice too. That's my $0.02 on the subject.

Otherwise, yes, ditchwitch please!

Actually, you can have too many McLeods when the trailer is as full as it is :) There are tools in the trailer that are some kind of McLeod type of tool with picks built in ...

This is what she's talking about.. The Mclaski

http://www.rescue42roc.com/mclaski.html

I know some TC have some of these, if we need more in the trailer, I'd rather get these then more MacLeods and Pulaskis.
