I told them that if i was not charged and not informed to re register in time that i will still show up and demand to be staged and ride the whole race. I even asked if i could drive to TC and hand them $80 to put my name on the effing list! DAY=RUINED

got a reply from asking about what happened if it didnt go thgouth and i miss out on a spot ... here was the response

Question 1 - From reading all this and the news blips in Iceman.com Is there even a limit to the number of riders any longer?

Question 2 - Why is it such a big deal to run this race? :?

Question 3 - Is this thread longer than last years yet? :P

NOT bashing it, have run it more tahn once, and except for my own fitness issues it has been a great event. In my mind, once this registration issue started and the field went from being big to being huge, It lost the allure for me.

Well, I'm looking forward to a trip to Crystal for Peak to Peak instead of Iceman this year. My daughter loves the coaster and all of the family activities anyway. I'm glad USA Cycling made that decision for me!

RACE IS FULL per website. I have 5 charges on my card and no confirmation. I hope I have an entry.

Did you check the US Cycling website to see if your name is listed under the Iceman class for which you tried to register?

My name isn't there. Just talked to USA Cycling and they said there are over 400 people who are in the same situation with payments pending but no confirmation. She said that I should be in. Will see what happens when they reconcile the list. First charge was at noon so well before registration filled up.

I can't speak for Brian, but many of the pros do not go through the online process. Steve has always allowed pro riders into the race right up till the point where he cuts off the entry transfer process and assigns final bib numbers

I'm with ya Sarah. Did the Iceman for a few years but its such a hassle anymore I just don't bother. Peak 2 Peak is my new favorite year ending race. Great atmosphere for sure!

Meh ... Nobody does the Iceman anymore. There are too many riders in it. ;)

just got off the phone talking with Kristen Uhlemann of usa cycling. she informed me to email membership@usacycling.org and give my first name, last name, last 4 digits of the card used, and i should see the duplicate charges refunded back into my account by todays in. things happen and it seems like they are working as hard as possible to correct the issue. i in the iceman and can't wait.
