C'Dale Lefty Repair

Postby Roy » March 6th, 2012, 9:21 am

My 2005 Lefty was sent to C'Dale for repair. It came back with all new (2012) guts. Every internal part was replaced. The fork is now air sprung with a push button lock out. A 2012, top of the line fork in 2005 tubes.
If you have a C'Dale fork that needs repair or service, have your dealer return it to the C'dale. I might take a little longer and coat a little more, but you will get back a Factory repaired fork.

Yes, that's usually a good option, but don't forget that we have a local guru right here locally in SE Michigan, Jeffrey Turck at Dexter Bike & Sport. He is one of the original headshock gurus, and of course is also well versed with all things Lefty. From his bio on http://www.dexterbikeandsport.com

"I worked for Cannondale from from 1991-1997. While serving as the northern California Account Manager, I wrenched on Tinker, Myles, Sara, and Libor's bikes in the early stages of the Volvo Cannondale team, and also pro wrenched at the Ironman Kona championship two years in a row. I was later promoted to President of Cannondale Japan and (simultaneously) was the International Sales Manager for Cannondale, responsible for everything outside N. America and Europe. Those years took us from California to Japan to Connecticut. I made numerous land advocacy presentations around the world during that time, evangelizing the sport of mountain biking and land access."
