Rode last night and it was mostly dry with a few greasy spots. Didn't rise Gosling though. Definitely need to wait a few days before riding after this rain.

Rode tonight on my new Pugsley, trail was great did the shortcut skipped what i thought would be wet on gosling. hard to think it is March and the trail is perfect right now.

Gosling has usual clay/mucky spots otherwise surprisingly ok. I'm not advocating riding the Gosling section though. It may be best to skip it for several more dry days. The real reason I'm posting about Gosling, is that there's a 12"+ dia tree down, in the section south of Doyle rd.(after you cross Doyle the second time) You have to climb over it.

Gosling is never good to ride. Too much peanut butter clay, sand, face slappers, mosquito, it just sucks.

I heard they were going to close that part of the trail and give it back to nature.

I am OK with the proposed closure, as long we all agree that the short cut route will then become known as the "full loop". Any ideas what will become the name of the new "short cut"? Potobury? This way, I might be able to hold my "full loop" time for another 10 years!

I also heard that this is year of "Deer Fly", celebration begin in 30 days
