My 4 year old just dropped his training wheels this morning!

I remember last summer seeing a Dad and it looked like 10-12 yo son riding Maybury.. they weren't especially fast or technical, but, I thought, man, I wish I was having as much fun as they were.

I'm trying to reign in my excitement, 1 year ago I tried to jack up the training wheels up on my son when he was 3.5. The bike wobbled once and he never rode it again for 2 months.
wasn't until we went to Trails edge in town and he sat on another bike with training wheels and rode around in the store while I got parts that he was ready for his bike again.

I learned my lesson, He can tell me when he's ready, but secretly I want to make a dirt track for him in the back yard.

So true on many levels, I feel like i should be printing it on a t-shirt...
(and i dread/desire the day he's saying it to me, lol)

I may need to have you over to help with the track build... Know anyone who has a rototiller, I would want to hack out the weeds to start.

I gave my little girl a strider for her first birthday. She was all excited and knew right away what it was. She climbed right on it and was trying to walk around the room on the bike. She needs to grow another inch to give her a little more clearance to the seat though
