BusDriver and I walked the problem section and we think we have found a solution to getting off the ridge line that perhaps will need bench cutting and multiple grade reversals. We will be flagging and clearing the corridor that we think maybe the best way down. Hopefully by Mon. if the weather gives us a brake.
So stay tuned for further developments. We will most certainly need your help in getting this project completed.

10" dia tree down across the Murray Lake trail at the 8.3 mile climb up to the ridge. Can be ridden over.

Lots of small debris on both trails from the wind we had Monday.

The weather looks atrocious for Sat. so I'm going for SUNDAY 4/22/12, NEW TIME; 10am-2pm. Hey, it's Earth Day,come out and enjoy some earth...literally.
When: 4/22/12 Tomorrow
Time: 10am-2pm or whenever you can get there to contribute BUT we will be done by 2pm.
The job: Bench cutting (we will show you how  ) , raking , closing down old trail.
What to bring and expect: MCMBA says it best..... http://site.mcmba.org/index.php/get-inv ... l-work-faq
Tools: Shovels and METAL broom rakes (plastic rakes break). Pulaski , bring it. Your own McLeod , bring it.
Parking location; off Baur Rd., park along the road by the boardwalk. Go S. from Brighton Rd. or N. from Bishop Lk. Rd.

Who do we call to complain about Bishop Lake Rd (coming from the west)? Just ranting, but, holy crap I thought my car was going to fall appart from the quarter mile of ripple bumps, even going 2 mph.

I seen a poor guy in car struggling to make to the lot. I felt bad for him as passed him in my big truck.

The new loop is wonderful. Thanks to everyone who took part in adding it to the trail.
There is big pine tree down at the first section of Murray. I think it's somewhere around 1.5-1.6 mile. Other than that lots of deadfall, but the trail is fast and tacky.
