Yankee Springs Tires

OK, I know you guys always laugh when people post tire questions for races but... I haven't been there before and I read something about sand so...

Which tires should I use, VelociRaptor:

or this Bontrager for both front and back

Neither. That amount of tire tread is not necessary. You dont want to dig into the sand, you want to float over it. my 2 cents.

With only those choices, i would also go with the bontragers...they have a connected center tread making less rolling resistance than the velociraptors.

I rode the Bontragers and they worked fine. There really wasn't much sand. It was a great day! :)

My buddy raced with Velociraptors (that's all he has) and they were definitely overkill.
