Wearing your gear after the race is the one time that you are not a posser! It is like ski racing and wearing your GS suit into the bar after the races are done.

Yes, that is just as dorky as wearing your spandex and team jersey for the rest of the afternoon

DO NOT!!........eat questionable Shrimp Vindaloo, the night before a race. And, yes - it was as awful as you can imagine......which is why I have a rule - never eat seafood before a race.
