Tuesday May 1st

Postby Epicrider » April 30th, 2012, 2:03 pm

I have never been to Holdridge but would like to ride it tomorrow, May 1st, afternoon/evening. Have no idea if it is easy to navigate or do I need a map or how long it will take. Anybody interested in riding it tomorrow, I would rather follow than try to pay attention to signs. I ride at a good pace, middle of the pack sport racer and hope to ride for 2hrs or so. I can be out there anytime after 4pm.

Can be muddy in places and is still raining in the area as of 12:00 noon. There are maps located in the parking lot and the trails are clearly marked with half-mile markers. East loop is expert level and may take two hours as it is tight. IMO a 26er route although if you handle a 29er well it will help rolling over the many rock, roots and log piles. North loop is entry level and is a good warm-up. West is the most used and has more open riding than the East.
Have fun!
