Ha! Your hubs are thanking you. Where was this shot taken?

If I had to wager a guess I would say CRPT. Thats the shallow end when it floods  .

Bingo mack! Well, really it was the paved portion. Rode through it all. Water went as high as the top tube.

Repacked all bearings after this. Should have heard my freewheel. Stupid road bike anyway. Who cares.

I have another 4 hour ride today and was going to ride between Bald north and Addison and some of the roads around there a few times. Hopefully it's not too messy. Stony was ok yesterday. So go soon and tell me so I know whether or not go :)

Sorry about the timing.... ;)

As I rode north and west from Stony it seemed to get wetter and wetter. That area got 2-2.5" of rain Thursday and Friday and it seems some areas got even more. Addison is really wet right now. I rode the first half to trim some face-slappers and assess the situation. There are many puddles and quite a few low spots that are really squishy. I would avoid until we get a few more warm, dry days.

LOL, I did go spin 1 lap at Addison. It was a little soft. I just went home and took the CX bike out. Hopefully it dries soon.

This evening a few of us started into Addison, and seeing the standing water on the first climb and with decent soft spots we bailed at the intersection of the old trail entrance, riding that backward to get out. I think Addison needs a few more days.

I rode Addison this evening as well. Large parts of the trail were in good shape, but there were some really wet spots that I walked around (the first climb was wetter than most of the rest).
In particular, there is a serious problem spot on the new Fine Grind reroute. There was a really soft sloppy patch where a large pit had formed from people riding through it and it was holding a lot of water. I used a stick to gouge a little channel for the water to drain out, and spent a little time trying to armor it with rocks so it wouldn't get worse, but it probably needs attention from somebody with a better idea what they're doing than me.
Also, sorry if adding rocks was the wrong move.

Leaving Addison now, the trail is in pretty decent shape. I don't know if it's just me or the dirt but for some reason it just feels a little bit slow out there right now.

It's the dirt, I'm sure. :icon_thumleft:

The soil out there gets really tacky when wet.

Thats good because laps a minute + slower are annoying. I need to change my tires too. They are pretty worn down but I was holding out because I'm racing the next 3 weeks in a row so I wanted to wait.

Anyone going to Addison to ride today? I was thinking of heading out there, but was wondering if the trail is still wet. Anyone ride this morning?

It was still wet this afternoon. I rode up the hill at the start and decided it was too muddy so I turned around and left. Saw some other people riding however.
