WTB front disc brake (minus rotor)

Postby gc3 » May 10th, 2012, 2:16 pm

looking to get my spare bike back out on the trails with a disc only fork.

I'll need the following

1) caliper (and mount if needed to bolt to a IS mount) for a 160 or 180mm rotor (do not need rotor)
2) front brake lever to use with the new caliper

I don't need anything fancy, trying to keep this very budget friendly.
let me know what you have.

Re: WTB disc 26" front wheel

Postby Critter7r » May 14th, 2012, 12:10 pm

I have a 26" 6-bolt disc wheel that you can have for free. It works fine. I live in Holly and work in Bloomfield, so I can go thru Waterford (on Dixie Hwy) to get home. It's nothin fancy, it came on my Specialized FSR and I replaced the set two years ago because the bearings in the rear wheel were shot. The front is still in decent shape though. I hung them up in the garage (I hate throwing stuff away), but I doubt I'll ever use it again.

So, you can PM me if you want it, I'll check back on the site after work tonight and could get it to you tomorrow if you want.

What IS mount you looking for? It helps everyone to know what rotor size you plan on running.

180 or 160mm, doesnt matter to me. I try to keep the top post updated with all the info, but in case people only look at the bottom.

on a side note, looks like D_man16 has come through and I should be set with the caliper.

all I need now is an IS mount for 160 or 180mm.
If anyone wants to unload one they dont use anymore, let me know.
otherwise I don't think they are very expensive so I can buy a new one.

Thanks everyone!
