Rode the connector on my way to Island Lake yesterday, there's a few puddles, but they had a solid bottom and I was able to slowly ride through the standing water without getting wet. Trail is good overall.

Thank you to whoever keeps this connector clear as it's a great way to get from Island Lake to Proud Lake!

There is a small tree down on the trail approx .2miles from the DQ entrance.

I rode this for the 1st time Saturday. It was really cool to go from Milford to Proud Lk. Trail is great. One thing I noticed being a 1st timer, was on the way back to Milford, I wasn't ready for the crossing at Old Plank Rd( I think it's Old Plank) and it comes up VERY quick. I had to lock em' up coming down the hill before the road crossing. What about a sign at the top of the hill before the road. Is that possible?
Otherwise the connector is awesome.

With all the rail the last couple days, not to mention what seems like weeks or more of rain (yard's in great shape!) . . skipped the area single track today in favor of path & dirt rd. riding and stopped by the east section of this trail.. no good - lots of mud and standing water. Took Buno Rd. to Kensignton instead - its just south of the connector and gets you to Kensignton just the same...

Still a few mucky spots - all in all a great ride. Appreciate the mowing on the west section.. Ride it and hit the DQ 8)

Just a thought on the connector. I usually ride it going west toward the DQ. As I bomb down that last hill, I am always afraid of hitting someone coming up the hill. That is a pretty blind downhill. Somebody will get hurt sometime on that 2-way section. Short of an alternate route, I wonder if a little bit of clearing of underbrush might make the sight lines a bit better to see if anyone is coming up the hill (or maybe I need to stop bombing down it!). I would be happy to volunteer my time to help in such a project. Just a thought.

Mr. Hermann

I sent a note to the Metro Park and cc'd the TC.

I would love to help however I'm putting my trail maintenance efforts in at the Hick and Proud Lake when I can.

Your point is well taken - it IS a TWO WAY trail - use caution.

Thank-you,

This trail runs through several low lying areas in spots and those will probably not drain completely for weeks

It was great to find the Boy Scout bridge high and dry!

This was the worst spot, there were at least 7 or 9 others

That is now down to four bad spots. Three of them east of South Hill Road and one just east of the Boy Scout bridge. Had to walk one of them. I would really like to see if any Boy Scout groups in Milford/ Commerce have any Eagle candidates that want to tackle another section of that trail.
