Thank you! Rode two laps on the West loop Sunday, on the way back from up north everthing looked alright. In
need of a trimming, but I think that can be said for prettty much every trail in this area. Exactly what section are
you speaking of? Every T.C. has their own vision of what they want to do, I would not want to step on anyones toes.

Per IMBA:

Natural Obstacles and Technical Trail Features

Objects that add challenge by impeding travel. Examples include: rocks, roots, logs, holes, ledges, drop-offs, etc. The height of each obstacle is measured from the tread surface to the top of the obstacle. If the obstacle is uneven in height, measure to the point over which it is most easily ridden.

Technical Trail Features are objects that have been introduced to the trail to add technical challenge. Examples include: rocks, logs, elevated bridges, teeter-totters, jumps, drop-offs, etc. Both the height and the width of the technical trail feature are measured.

Exactly.

A bridge over a stream is just that, a bridge. Now take that same bridge and put it 6 feet in the air (sans railings) and it becomes a TTF.

However, a TTF does't need to be inherently dangerous, just challenging. :D

Built by God. Dumbed down for mortal use by me. This is the Green Monster at Anderson:

Image

A log ride built solely for log ride connoisseurs. Side entry is shaved where the tree dips to trail level. Requires a double hop of the rear tire, or similar maneuver, to keep the rear from tracking off. The hump/turn comes at the same time as the hop.

Couldn't post it before, because I hadn't cleaned it. That all changed a few hours ago:

What's up with the lip at the top of the wooden berm? Did they have issues with people going over the top?
