Also, any other suggestions on other trails in the area to try? I was going to stop in Midland on the way home to the Detroit area on Sunday but it sounds like most of the Midland trails are pretty trashed from the winter. Thanks!

MMCC trails are in great shape...

Kudos to the people who built and maintain the MMCC trail! Rode it on Sunday and absolutely loved the trail. I'm from the Metro Detroit area and this trail rivals just about anything we have around here! Well done!

Rode the trail today, and it is in amazing shape considering the deluge of rain here this week. There is a massive tree down around the 9.25 mile area, easy enough to walk around though. Otherwise the trail was tacky, fast, and well maintained.

Thanks for the update on the tree... we'll be working on that this week.

Trail is now 100% dry... today's rain will actually help the trails. All 15 miles of trail (all loops) have been trimmed and mowed and are in fantastic shape....

Thanks for posting. I'm hoping to stop by Friday on my way up to the Long and Shorts event, and I was just going to ask for a status report!

If I was a single speed bike, what would be my preferred gearing?

Rode yesterday afternoon. The trail was in great shape, and it was a real treat.

Note to anyone from out-of-town: You cannot get to MMCC off US-127 exit 170 due to road construction. Use exit 168 instead!

It's a great trail, definitely worth the 90-120 minute trip from Lansing.

Yes, it's worth the drive - it's about an hour for me. If you've never rode the Jailhouse trail in Ithaca, I'd suggest you hit that for a few laps on your way back.

This trail was great. Old school tight and twisty singletrack, no huge climbs, more like a roller coaster. I'll be back.
