Rock removal???

Just got back from my ride at Mid, disappointed to see that someone is digging out the rocks on the first part of the trail. What the heck?? Please don't sanitize this trail. There are plenty of rail trails and dirt roads to ride if you don't like rocks. Plus I have to think that the embedded rocks help keep this trail one of the driest in this part of the state. I just rode there the past Tuesday and it was fine. Boo on rock removal!

Rode this trail today for the first time. Prime Pure MI XC singletrack. Fast and flowy with lots of small roller coaster ups and downs. No huge climbs or stunts to speak of. Extremely well marked, maintained, and designed. Not a single trail obstruction or slapper. Lots of fun if you want to spin fast.

Kudos to the trail TC and maintainers.

Took a ride here yesterday. The trail holds up pretty well to rain, but there were a few mud spots at the bottoms of run-outs. Made for a slower ride than usual, but still lots of fun! :)

Just a heads up....MMCC is hosting the Timber Trail runs on Sunday, Sept 15th.
The MTB trails will be closed until late afternoon as they are part of the running course.

Was there 9/27 and trail was in great shape and fast!!!!! Leaves are falling but not a problem on the trail at all. Nice to see the development of the new section. And the new trail along the road is coming in pretty good, will take some time though.

The new WHITE trail has been completed and ready to ride. It's a little over 1 mile in length and it starts/ends just before the 8 mile marker off the BLUE trail. This gives MMCC 16.2 miles of singletrack! The new trail is in great shape - give it a go!

Rode the trails on 10/11. Other than lots of leaves, the trails are in great shape. Was able to ride the White Loop for the first time. Very nice job on that loop. Very nice trail system.

Has anyone rode here in the past day or two? I'm wondering how much snow is on the trails.

Thanks to the person(s) who blazed a trail though the snow on their fat tire bikes Saturday. Made my ride much easier, though I would bet today most of the snow is melted.

I'm a lone rider wanting to check out this trail. How heavily is this trail trafficked and how was the cell reception out there?

No worries... the trail is very popular and ridden frequently, and is well marked with mileage markers on the main (Blue) trail. The Blue trail loop is 10 miles, with smaller loops (.5 to 1.5 mile) off the main loop. 16 miles total. Each trail is color coded. All of the single track trails on the property are for mountain biking, so it's tough to get lost. BTW -all trails are two way trails. Look over the map at the trailhead, or pick up a map there and you'll be fine. BTW, cell phone coverage is fine out there (at least for Verizon users)...

I'd be happy to meet you at MMCC to ride these trails once the snow clears if desired. Just PM me.

How is the snow looking out there?
Any hope of making a go of it with the Rust Shaker this month?

Too early to tell, but the Rust Shaker is almost a month away. The MMCC trails dry up incredibly well (high ground) so we should be fine....
